Programs Available to Members
- Leadership Development Assessment (LDA) - Valued at over $75.00, but free to members, this is an online leadership behavioral assessment based upon years of research. It was developed by Target Training International, Ltd, an industry leader in these types of assessments. The LDA guides participants through the survey and provides an opportunity to create a personalized development plan. Two comprehensive reports provide valuable insights into your leadership style. The information also serves as the foundation for the ECC Mentoring Partnerships for Conservation Leadership Program.
- The Connection Directory - This online database is a listing of our membership. It enables members to identify, connect, and network with other members locally and nationally.
- Mentoring Partnerships for Conservation Leadership Program - This innovative Program reaches across private, tribal, and public sectors, providing opportunities for the Mentoring Partnerships to expand their leadership experience, capabilities and conservation network. - Leadership Training - ECC offers professional development and training based on our model of Exceptional Leadership for Conservation and Communities. This model builds on trust, wisdom, and influence, and recognizes how positive communication skills enhance leadership.
- Local ECC Circles - These are regular informal gatherings enabling local ECC members to support, mentor, share ideas and concerns, and enhance conservation leaders in their community. A Circle can meet face-to-face over a lunch hour or weekend outing or could even be through teleconference or ECC Discussion Forums.
- Reading List - This is an online list containing book recommendations on personal development topics like leadership development, negotiation, collaboration, community building, managing change, and marketing. The list is composed of timeless books as well as new books with cutting-edge ideas and is updated on a regular basis.
- The Connector Newsletter - All members will receive the quarterly ECC newsletter directly to their e-mail inbox. It provides information on upcoming ECC training sessions and receptions at national meetings, updates on board activity, and the quarterly "Corner Chat" question for local ECC Circle Meetings.
- Discussion Forums - Join the discussion, start a new "thread", ask questions, get answers! The ECC Discussion Forum will connect you with members, provide you with information, challenge your thinking, and help you formulate solutions.
